Visual Identity for the Presidency of the EESC
Staffan Nilsson's 2011-13 Presidency at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) focused on sustainability and open dialogue, two values that translated into a highly interactive, responsibly produced campaign.
CREATIVE DIRECTOR AND LEAD DESIGNER
The public was invited to craft their own pieces using ready-made templates, channelling the campaign’s modular, deconstructivist look-and-feel.
It was also one of the first campaigns at the EESC to integrate social media, encouraging citizens to interact with the Committee.
Designing for designers
This sparkling visual identity was crafted for a sustainable design competition aimed at European designers, under the aegis of the EESC.

Clean type, vibrant colours, and poetic photographs of famous European bridges converge in this inviting and optimistic visual identity, designed for the EESC in 2012. As the Committee bridges the gap between Europe and its citizens, so should, literally, its communication materials.
